2022 is drawing to a close, and we are preparing for 2023! Thank you to every Cobot-powered space for another year where we get the honor of helping connect communities all across the world. This month we added resources to better control and share your space with the public, and features that will help your space continue connecting with the community as we head into the new year.

Product Updates
Public events embed code
Public events are a great way to earn extra revenue while bringing in new leads to your space. Cobot’s event feature has gotten one more tool to help you use events to drive new leads. Admins can now embed a piece of code on their space’s website that will display up to five public events. This way visitors to your site will be able to find out what’s happening in your space and drop by! Learn more about how to set this up using our guide.
Approve or Reject External Bookings
Events aren’t the only thing that can bring not-yet-members into your space. If you have External Bookings enabled, then they can come to your space via a resource booking. But previously, there was no way to reject a booking if something wasn’t going to work out (for example, if the visitor made a special request that you are unable to accommodate).
Admins can toggle a switch on the Resource form to require an approval step before an External Booking is confirmed. That way, you can sidestep awkward cancellations after the fact. Visitor and admin emails have been updated to reflect this additional step, admins can open the confirmation dialog from their Activity Feed, email, or under Calendar » External Bookings » Approve Booking.

In 2022, we got to work side-by-side with the community again.
Cobot’s been working with, from, and for coworking spaces for over a decade; all because we love the community! This past year we were able to go back to conferences in full force and resume our favorite activity: visiting new coworking spaces! In total, we managed to visit the following conferences in person:
