From its humble origins on August 9th, 2005, in San Fransisco's Mission District, the coworking movement has been a pioneer of innovation and community building, changing the relationship between workers and the workplace.
August 9th is our annual time to celebrate this journey, to look how far coworking has come and where it is headed. The journey has not always been an easy one, COVID-19 posed an extensive series of challenges to the development of the industry. But by now, halfway through 2022, with flexwork and coworking showing no sign of declining and more spaces opening each year, we wanted to widen our gaze and look at the industry's stories around the world.
To celebrate International Coworking Day, we at Cobot want to highlight some of the most innovative spaces from around the world. During the next few days we will be Focusing on how they have built not just a new place of work, but communities and hubs of co-creation.
