Our community revolves around the future of work — we should also be concerned with the future of the planet and how our actions will influence the climate and the sustainability of human life on Earth. At Cobot, we pledge to use our voice and impact within the coworking industry to reduce our environmental impact locally, as well as put pressure on our local politicians through direct action and advocacy for sustainable environmental policy. We agree to avoid carbon-intense travel where we can, offset what we can’t, and make environmental impact a core piece of our decision-making process.
We’ve been inspired by the actions of climate activists and environmental protesters worldwide, and we agree with scientists, students, and everyone who cares about the environment: The time for action is now. And the window is closing. How can you get involved? We’ll be sharing resources over the next few weeks leading up to the September 20th climate strike, and we hope to see many of our fellow coworkers in the streets then.
